When discussing UK Break Dance history, one name that stands out is BBoy Bov. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Mark Aitcheson, better known as BBoy Bov, has made a lasting impact on Breaking culture in the UK and worldwide.
Originally from Warrington, UK, Bov’s career has taken him from underground breakdance battles to sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in music history. His contributions to Breaking, street dance, and hip-hop culture have cemented his place as a true legend in UK Break Dance history.

How BBoy Bov’s Breaking Journey Began
Already an established professional dancer, Bov officially stepped into Breaking in 2004. His Breaking style was influenced by BBoy Machine, a dancer known for dynamic power moves and precision. However, Bov had already been making waves in the dance world long before stepping into Breaking culture, starting in Hitman and Her Crew

BBoy Bov trained with some of the most respected UK Breakers, including:

BBoy Bov’s Dance School & Teaching Legacy
BBoy Bov has always been dedicated to teaching and mentoring dancers. He founded a dance school at Tuff Gong Studios in Warrington, where he trained young street dancers, including George Sampson, who later won Britain’s Got Talent.
His studio even gained national attention when it was featured on Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew, highlighting authentic UK street dance training.

Today, BBoy Bov teaches at IndepenDANCE in Warrington, where he continues to mentor the next generation of UK Break Dancers and Street Dancers.
